Metline Casting is an aluminium casting manufacturer based at Suvidha Industrial Area - 2 in Ribda, Gondal, within the Rajkot district of Gujarat — one of India’s densest foundry and engineering clusters. Our core process is aluminium sand casting: molten aluminium poured under gravity into bonded sand moulds, with cores forming the internal passages that no machining operation could reach.
We run 150 MT of casting capacity a year through a 150 kg crucible furnace, handling single-piece weights from 0.1 kg to 110 kg. Every supporting process — core making, heat treatment, vacuum impregnation, sand blasting, grinding and VMC/CNC machining — sits under the same roof, so a part never leaves our control between the pour and the final inspection. What is aluminium sand casting?
Aluminium sand casting is a metal forming process in which molten aluminium is poured into a mould formed from bonded sand. Once the metal solidifies the sand mould is broken away and the casting is fettled, heat treated and machined to the drawing. Because the mould is expendable and made from sand rather than hardened steel, tooling costs stay low and part size is limited only by the moulding box — which is why it suits low and medium volume components, large parts, and anything with complex internal passages.
Is aluminum casting the same as aluminium casting?
Yes. “Aluminium” is the British and IUPAC spelling used across India, the UK and Europe; “aluminum” is the American spelling. They describe the same metal and the same process. Metline Casting quotes and manufactures against drawings written either way.
What size aluminium castings can Metline Casting produce?
We handle single-piece weights from 0.1 kg to 110 kg, with an annual casting capacity of 150 MT. Melting runs through a 150 kg crucible furnace rated at 1 MT per day, and cores up to 25 kg are produced on a fully automatic core machine.
Which aluminium alloys do you cast?
We work most often in the BS 1490 general-purpose grades — LM6 (Al-Si12) where corrosion resistance matters, LM25 (Al-Si7Mg0.5) where the part needs T6 structural strength, and LM2 where a drawing calls for it. If your drawing specifies a different grade, or specifies an EN 1706, ASTM or JIS designation instead, send it across and we will confirm the equivalent.

Can you cast from a drawing or a physical sample?
Both. Send a 2D drawing, a 3D model, or the physical part itself. Our team reviews geometry, wall sections, draft and tolerances to confirm castability before quoting, and will flag anything in the design that would be difficult or expensive to cast.
What processes do you run in-house?
Core making, melting and pouring, sand casting, heat treatment, vacuum impregnation, sand blasting, grinding and fettling, and VMC/CNC machining — all under one roof. Nothing in the core route is subcontracted, which is what keeps lead times short and quality consistent.
